[March 14, 2021] U.S. SBA Office announces 2025 National Small Business Week Award Winners in Rhode Island:
SEED Client, Kaitlyn Robers of Easy Entertaining, Inc. is named the 2025 Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year.
The Small Business Person of the Year award is a remarkable achievement that highlights several key qualities, including business growth, innovation, customer satisfaction, and commitment to the community. Kaitlyn Roberts has exemplified these traits, fostering a business environment where creativity and excellence thrive, and consistently pushing the boundaries of success.
Easy Entertaining, Inc. is a woman-owned, seasonally inspired catering business established in 2008. Kaitlyn started her career as a personal chef, finding early success. After two years, she founded Easy Entertaining, Inc. The business recently relocated and expanded their operations in Providence with the purchase of commercial real estate. This move has enabled the company to expand its offerings and create new jobs in the local market.
We would like to thank our valued bank partner, Nancy Dufresne-Petrone and BankRI for partnering with SEED on this transaction. This loan was funded by SEED with resources from RI Commerce's State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Fund. The SSBCI funds are dedicated to supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship by providing capital and technical assistance to foster stability, growth, and success. SEED is fortunate to have been awarded these flexible funds from RI Commerce, enabling us to continue making a meaningful impact on the Rhode Island small business community.
Congratulations again to Kaitlyn on this remarkable achievement, and we look forward to continued collaboration and success in the future! Award winners will be celebrated on May 8th at the SBA Rhode Island District Office's Annual Salute to Small Business awards luncheon.
