[October 29, 2025] Notice on Continued Government Shutdown
While the federal government is temporarily shut down, South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation remains open and ready to support our small business community.
Here’s what you need to know:
SBA 504 and 7(a) Loans
Although these programs cannot receive final SBA approval during the shutdown, SEED’s team is hard at work behind the scenes and accepting new applications. We’re continuing our internal review, underwriting, and approval process to be ready for SBA submission as soon as the Federal Government reopens.
SEED’s Microloan Program – Fully Operational
We’re still processing working capital loans up to $50,000 for eligible startup and existing small businesses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
We invite you to connect with one of SEED's commercial lenders to learn more about other financing options available to help you meet your specific needs!
